| 189818 | 10/19/2009 9:49:01 PM | Does your new LS-1 clutch kit (85-105) come with a throw out bearing and alignment tool?
Also, what's the difference between a high performance and self aligning bearing? |
| 189804 | 10/19/2009 4:02:32 PM | Primarily a show car that is driven on the street some.
I do not see a listing for 1969 396 in the catalog so two questions.
Should I have a Street or Street/Strip setup?
What part numbers for 1969 396, 11inch clutch, input spline of 10 |
| 189648 | 10/13/2009 9:18:51 PM | Hearing what sounds like pebbles in a can on 1st gear release with the stock clutch. Never had a clutch with adjustments on the diaphram, so I don't know if that might be what I'm hearing. Any ideas? |
| 189533 | 10/9/2009 5:09:00 PM | My understanding is that I will need an external balanced
flywheel for this engine which is avail thru Jegs and
Summit. 383 stroker w/ 405 HP...I need the flywheel
replacement and recommended clutch/pressure plate
recommendations. for Daily street use.
Thank you,
John |
| 189510 | 10/9/2009 1:43:45 AM | This will be a daily driver. What would be the best flywheel and clutch setup. Would like to use 153 tooth flywheel to allow use of corvette starter. Engine will remain stock. |
| 189458 | 10/7/2009 9:43:27 AM | I have an original clutch disc. What pressure plate would you recommend for my car? Long 3 finger is what the engine builder is recommending. What's the differance between long 3 finger type and diaphragm type? He wants me to keep the poundage down below 2400lbs on the pressure plate. What flywheel would you recommend. On the engine dyno horsepower at 340 and torque at 350. Thank you.

| 189135 | 9/25/2009 11:24:33 PM | Do you make a flywheel/clutch kit to install an LT1 into this truck? It has a 12 inch clutch. The LT1 is from a 1996 Impala SS. Transmission is New Process 4 speed. Thanks |
| 189130 | 9/25/2009 6:28:27 PM | What clutch setup should I use with this combination. Will the aluminum flywheel be ok for the street. (ie. will it handle the heat or will it warp and give me issues.) This car will get driven very hard and will be expected to perform or I will get in big trouble. |
| 186532 | 7/7/2009 4:14:02 PM | What is the Horsepower Capacity of the 85-311 Clutch Assembly? |
| 186490 | 7/6/2009 6:22:01 PM | I have a opportunity to buy a clutch that has a minor chip on the edge of the disc. I foresee any problems with it, but with your experience, I would like to know what your opinion is. Other than the minor nick on the outside of the disc there is no damage. Thanks |
| 186376 | 7/2/2009 4:05:34 PM | I need a steel 30lb flywheel that is balanced correctly for the AMC 401 engine.
The part number on your web site looks the same for the 360 and 401 engines but I believe the 401 has external balance requirements that the 360 does not. |
| 186357 | 7/2/2009 10:45:32 AM | I installed a new Hays 11" Brog and Beck Street/Strip clutch kit Part Number: 85-114 and Hays Billet Steel flywheel and fork pivot ball to replace a failed Centerforce street/strip pressure plate.
The problem is I can't get seem to get rid of the chatter on initial release.
Please recommend an 11" clutch that will to the job without chatter. Classic car owned since '73.. not raced anymore. |
| 186328 | 7/1/2009 7:00:48 PM | Hello, I recently did a trans swap to the tremec and purchased the clutch along with the kit. The problem is that the clutch chatters in first and reverse. The flywheel was resurfaced. I don't race/beat the car and just want a clutch that doesn't chatter. Would one of your discs help/elimanate the problem? I would like to use the pressure plate if possible as it only has about 500 miles on it. The disc I have now has springs in the hub but no marcel cushion. Does this type of disc cause that type of problem?
Thanks for the info

| 186312 | 7/1/2009 11:08:58 AM | Should I install a street clutch in this car?
I do spin the tires on this car, mostly on wet pavement, a couple times a year on dry pavement. I do not take it to the track.
95% of my driving is normal street.
Thanks,
Tom |

| 186208 | 6/28/2009 3:01:30 PM | I have a race car that I just had painted and I have your products on it. So I was wondering if you could send me some new stickers to put on it.

| 186147 | 6/25/2009 8:11:05 PM | my aluminum flywheel needs a new steel insert. The insert was centered by the clutch mounting bolts and the flywheel itself is not drilled and tapped for the inserts I see for sale on different sites. Where can I buy the one I need, or should I drill and tap for the newer styles? |
