Hays Knowledgebase Question:
Hello, I recently did a trans swap to the tremec and purchased the clutch along with the kit. The problem is that the clutch chatters in first and reverse. The flywheel was resurfaced. I don't race/beat the car and just want a clutch that doesn't chatter. Would one of your discs help/elimanate the problem? I would like to use the pressure plate if possible as it only has about 500 miles on it. The disc I have now has springs in the hub but no marcel cushion. Does this type of disc cause that type of problem? Thanks for the info Steve Hintz
Reply from Rep:
You will always have chatter with No Marcel Spring and a arm style disc. This is a Race Disc only ! You need a street disc.
