Hays Knowledgebase Question:

This will be a daily driver. What would be the best flywheel and clutch setup. Would like to use 153 tooth flywheel to allow use of corvette starter. Engine will remain stock.

The GM LT1 engine all require externally Balanced Flywheels. This means your flywheel should have Counter weights on one side of it to balance motor Regardless of what size ring gear you want used. The Hays Flywheel #10-530 is a good choice to use. To avoid the Normal LT1 "Pull Style" clutch. I would recommend the Hays #33-610 Pressure Plate. The Clutch Disc depends on the transmission input shaft. The S10 back in 1992 had 2 differ types of shaft sizes. We need to know what size U have
